2015 is off to a great start!

I do apologise I'm pretty poor at keeping up to date with my blog posts, i am attempting to get better, the more i write the more i'll get into the swing of it right?

I only have to two goals for this year:
  • My first goal is to get a lot fitter. I have signed up for a couple of runs, the longest is 5km but its an obstacle course in the mud, yes the mud! some of the obstacles look challenging but we are rising the challenge one muddy stride at a time
  • My second and last goal is to be more creative with my sewing, as you know its a relatively new hobby of mine, but i feel i progressed quite a lot throughout the year with lots of practice and gaining more confidence with every project i do. I'm open to tackling more advanced projects this year and start pattern hacking and seeing what i can come up with! I'm full of ideas for up and coming projects this year and I'm so excited to share them with you. ill be keeping you posted with all my makes this year. *eeeeek*

I've updated my sewing machine this week to a Janome TXL607, i can't wait to start using it, it has a lot of features that i won't be using yet but i will be in the not to distant future. My brother machine is going to my lovely mum, she's terrified to go near a sewing machine so this machine should be good for her just now.

Im off to gym now, tonight is insanity! I'm tired just thinking about it, but its worth it when its over.

2014, Where did you go?

<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/13411483/?claim=r7j2t25asru">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>

The older I get the quicker the years go by I feel.  I remember this time last year just like it was a few months ago. That must be a sign of getting old, right?
Last May I decided to start a blog ( Reasons are in my first post)  and by June I realised how hard it is to make blogging a part of my week and keep at it and stopped posted, so hats off to all you bloggers that occupy a large portion of my down time, you are fab, after all you did encouraged me to take the plunge again and put myself out there again! (Eeeeeek)

I may not do new year resolutions but I do agree that it is the perfect time to reflect on the previous year and set new goals too reach!

Last years goals:

  • Lose 3 stone
  • Get fitter
  • Say goodbye to the negative influences in my life
  • New hobby

My goals weren't overly exciting but I'm super excited to say I successfully reached all my goals. It brings me a huge smile to think I achieved the things I set out to do last January.  Losing weight was a huge thing for me, it was about more than the number on the scale, it was about being happy with myself and learning how to love the body I have inside out. My second goal to get fitter was achieved through attending my local gym and getting into a routine. I found what works for me and what I enjoy, now I feel I'm missing something when I've not been able to go. My third goal is as it say really, there's nothing worse than trying to improve yourself and the people around you bring you down, so i waved goodbye to that. Lastly I found a new love for sewing.  I don't have a huge amount of spare time so I can't sew as much as I would like but learning a new valuable skill was fab!

I'm really excited to see what 2015 has in store for me, I'll share my new goals next time, I think I've rambled on enough at this time at night.

Love
Kirsty!
